These are garment measurements, not body measurements. Lay a similar piece flat and compare. Chest, waist and hip are measured straight across the garment, not around the body; double these widths to estimate the garment circumference. Waist widths are measured relaxed. We all need some of the same things. A shirt we reach for. Something to move in. Pieces that make sense together. Uniform starts there. Familiar shapes, with room for the person wearing them.

We’re all different. But most mornings, we start with some of the same things.

A shirt. A pair of shorts. The socks we reach for.

Ordinary things we ask quite a lot from.

We want to move in them. Feel good in them. Put them on and get on with whatever the day asks of us.

That’s where Uniform starts.

the shape matters.

I wanted these pieces to feel familiar. A jersey. A striped shirt. A tank. A set you can wear together, or mix with something you already own.

The shape matters. Where a sleeve ends. How a collar frames you. How the pieces sit together. Simple things, but you feel it when they’re right.

I like clothes that give someone presence without asking for all the attention.

There’s a person wearing them. A way they carry themselves. Their own taste, their own history, their own day ahead.

That changes how the clothes look.

what you do in them is yours.

Two people can wear the same jersey and make it feel completely different. I think that’s the interesting part.

Some days, the whole outfit comes together. Other days, it’s one piece with something you’ve worn for years. Clothes should have a life outside the way we photographed them.

I wanted Uniform to make room for that. Practical. Considered. Understated. Simple shapes I want to keep coming back to.

The jersey gives the collection its presence. The stripes, the tank, the sets fill out the everyday. And the socks are still where I start.
